Lip fillers are a Hyaluronic Acid which is a natural substance that can be found in the body. These fillers can be used to increase the size of your lips, making them fuller as well as more symmetrical in shape. Along with treating the lip, fillers can also be used outside and around the lips to create a smoother, wrinkle free look.
The process of lip filler treatment is as follows; Initial consultation with the cosmetic injector, followed by a consent and prescription from a Doctor for the treatment. The Cosmetic Nurse applies numbing cream to the area and uses a very fine needle to deliver a series of injections. There is usually slight swelling directly after the treatment which will gradually disappear to reveal more plump lips. A top up of lip fillers can be administered six to eight weeks after the initial treatment to help build up the lip area.
There are numerous benefits to lip fillers. They can make your lips look fuller in shape, they can give you symmetry, they can make the area around the lips smoother and wrinkle free.
Lips fillers last for up to six to 12 months.
